Super Silly Seniors Become YouTube Celebrities

When Bruce and Esther Huffman were given a new computer with a built in webcam, they had no idea that they would become YouTube celebrities. One day while they were trying to remember how to use their webcam, they had accidentally already pushed record and didn’t even know. While trying to figure it out they were already recording themselves! What took place next was a delightful, yet funny look into the humorous personality of Bruce and his sweet wife. First before we dive into the video let’s learn a little bit about the couple.
Just some background information about the couple, 86-year-old Bruce Huffman and 79-year-old wife Esther are both residents of northwestern Oregon and their granddaughter had the idea that they could use the webcam to stay in touch with their grandchildren. One day they decided to figure it out, which resulted in a candid take int this elderly couple’s life.

“I was trying to figure out how to do the videos and didn’t know the thing was actually running,” Esther told The Huffington Post. “All the while, Bruce was kind of amusing himself because he was bored. He was being quite an actor.”
Throughout the 3 minute video you’ll find  Bruce making funny faces, yawning, singing, and burping. Bruce, who you can’t help but fall in love with, woos his accidental YouTube crowd with his goofy personality and loving intentions. Well…loving yet flirtatious intentions, especially when he says to Esther: “See how pretty your hair is?” he said, briefly touching his wife’s hair. And then for the stunner… “Just drop your dress a little bit and see your boobies.”
Esther, focusing on helping Bruce, quickly yet playfully ignores him: “Come on stop it. No, no, no,” she laughed. After they go on to comment about their wrinkles, wondering where the wrinkles in their forehead came from! I guess even the elderly don’t understand why we have to get old.
The truth found in this adorable video? In Bruce’s case, he has never stopped adoring their wife as they continue to grow old together. This video shows the world what an adorable couple you can be one day too while learning how to adapt to the changing technology that takes place!  Also, don’t forget to laugh – perhaps you’ll end up on YouTube; in all honesty growing old no longer looks as bad as it used to.

5 Bizarre Door Designs

Doors. Not typically the piece of household furniture design you would associate with bizarre designs. Most of us picture your average budget door when you think of doors and would consider a bright coat of paint the most dramatic change which could be made to one.
Unfortunately, as with a lot of household furniture, today’s consumer is more concerned with meeting a tight budget than striving for design excellence. Mass produced designs have become so much of a norm throughout the house that swerving any degree away from them may really upset your dinner guests.
No but seriously; there is a clear lack of variation from large scale door retailers, which is why we have put together this list of bizarre and interesting doors. If these don’t kick-start your mojo for the non-massed produced nothing will. Enjoy these awesome doors:

1. Glass door design

The internal door market is flooded with bland light wooden or semi-wooden doors. This beautiful glass door is not only made from a different material but can be customised with imagery of your choice. Not for households with small children or the heavy handed. Semi transparency also means that a sunny day can transform a room.

2. Printed door wallpapers

If you already succumbed to the pressure of boring design and purchased a mass produced door, fear not. Door wallpapers allow you to instantly transform any flat door into numerous printed variations. Add a secret tunnel, put a supermodel behind your door or simply update the colour. A cheap and very easy way to change the look of your room.

3. A hobbit’s door

Two doors are better than one, well what about three? Three doors in one are what you get should you decide to install this design marvel. Not only a really fun design; this door is practical for small children and adults alike – bizarre in design but extremely functional in build and material used.

4. A door of beer

Most of us like to unwind with the occasional beer or two, but who would have thought to create doors from the empty bottles? Johnsen Schmaling Architects that’s who. Held in place by a thin web of precision-milled neoprene which suspends each bottle in the aluminium frame. Not really designed for the home, these 9’- 6’ doors showcase what can be done with unusual materials.

5. The twisted fantasy door

Made from the sum parts of one door this fractured door really does remind us of something out of a sci-fi movie. It looks as though some giant fist has been smashed against it or it is going to disintegrate and leave a passage to another dimension!

The A-Z of Weird Phobias

Here’s a nice orderly run down of some of the strangest fears to have gained acceptance in the medical world as fully fledged psychological conditions;

Wiccaphobia wasn’t responsible for the killing of countless women in the middle ages, that was stupidity, a much more wide spread condition.

Xanthophobia – Fear of the Color Yellow or the Word Yellow

To be honest, I find xanthophobics a little, well, yellow….

Yogaphobia – Fear of Flexibility

Ok, so I made this one up, but it’s not my fault there aren’t any real phobias beginning with Y, is it?

Zelophobia – Fear of Jealousy

Luckily, I don’t think many people envy zelophobics…

5 Things to do Before you Die

Don’t live a life of regret, live a life of excitement. Whatever your age, there’s bound to be a long, old bucket list of things you want to tick off before the grim reaper comes knocking. These days it’s easier than ever to try your hand at something you thought you could never do, whether it’s the adrenalin rush of jumping from a plane, the thrill of getting behind the controls of a high speed machine or the excitement of doing something just downright dangerous, your dreams are within reach. Here’s some things to get you started:

Jump out of a plane

Skydiving
Safely, of course, with a parachute. Skydiving has plummeted (bad pun intended) in price in recent years meaning you don’t even have to hop on a charity fundraising bandwagon to afford it. You can raise money for a good cause at the same time of course, or you can just do it for the hell of it. After heading thousands of feet up in the air, the aeroplane doors open and you leap out, usually strapped to an instructor if it’s your first go, before freefalling at speeds of up to 120 mph in what is truly one of the most exhilarating experience days you can ever have.
